200ISO the way to go?

So...shooting at 200ISO seems to be coming up a lot lately. As I understand "Verse" was shot mainly at 200ISO. Others have chimed in saying they prefer to shoot at 200ISO. So what's the verdict?

I was under the understading the camera had a native ISO of 400, and that shooting 400ISO would give the best results. So is that not the case? Do you get a cleaner image if you start with 200ISO and add more light?

Depends on the situation. I'm shooting a film, lots of exteriors in high desert california. I wish there was an ISO setting of 50 at the low end instead of 200. Honestly I can't see any diff between 200 & 400 ISO other than the fact that 400 ISO in this light environment need a stop more ND than 200 ISO.

i cant tell much difference from 200-800
1250-1600 for me is noisier but useable
havent used 2000 and upwards as the difference of noise from 1600-2000 is pretty big
