2009 Pebble Beach Car Show

A good friend had a couple of cars entered in the 2009 Pebble Beach Car Show. So I put together this montage, kind of a "Day in the life" hoping to capture the essence of the show.

Having never attended before I didn't know what to expect so I just brought my digital SLR (Canon 7D) This was shot in about four hours, so I didn't get as much as I would have liked (too many stops for food and alcohol).

Anyway for anyone who likes cars I hope you enjoy this.

Awesome photos... Cool to the see the Bentley Speed 8 and the Pre-War Auto Union.

Did you shoot any video?

And what did you make the intro with? Pretty cool intro.
 
Wow, someone who really knows their cars.

Unfortunately I didn't shoot any video. I did the open in After Effects.

I'm hoping to shoot some video fairly soon after I get all the bits and pieces to make a shoulder brace and other camera support.
 
I'm a big car person. Dad spent 32 years at GM. I've been around cars my entire life. Owned a few fun one's too. :) Somehow just got voted president of the local British Car Club! Apparently there is no provision on owning a British car that actually works... ;)

Was that a Porsche 917 I saw in there in Gulf Livery? I'll add a photo here you'll appreciate...

Hi Perrone, sorry for not replying sooner.

I'm not that familiar with Porsche's but yes I believe that's a 917, it was next to one of the racing porsche's, both owned by Jerry Seinfeld.

I did one of these types of videos about three years ago and got much more of a response. I guess people aren't into cars as much as they are the 7D [I know its a 7D thread but back then in was a DVX100 thread]. The thread with the video locked has more replies???

My poor little video is destined to die in obscurity along with the 8 track tape player...:nads:
