C300: $2000 pricedrop for C100/C300

FYI Frank, the C100 can be had for 3650€ in Germany, that is still almost 1000$ less than in the US with the 1000$ rebate if I recall...
 
Where can it be had for that Spartacus (is that excluding VAT) and will it work in Ireland/UK?

Always afraid to buy things like that from europe but that is almost 1200euro cheaper than from the UK.

WTF? I thought especially the C100/C300 are super popular.

Edit: Just saw, it's actually just a rebate, when you buy lenses - didn't say so in the mail I got.

Actually, no - there are instant rebates available for purchasing just the body only, as well. The cameras are very popular, and the rebates are just reflective of Canon being more aggressive within the market. I don't know why you'd infer that because there are rebates available that it means the cameras aren't popular.

They give rebates all the time on their glass; those are popular too ;)

Of course the C100 will work in Ireland.

The C100 is €3990 + VAT at AF Marcotec in Germany or £3,395 + VAT at ProAV in the UK. Both are very reputable, I buy gear regularly from them.
 
Heres a little secret.....if the menu was in Gaelic then I am probably 80% of the population wouldn't make out half of the words as our Native Language was force fed to us in school. We don't use it in everyday life.

See the VAT added on makes it not much less than buying from ProAv in the UK.

Trying to decide if I sell my EX3 to part fund it now.
