Simple approach to the theme but it worked on some levels. I laughed when the beach ball just rolled in. :grin:
I liked that we went to a different location as well. I was starting to wonder.

Shoot me a PM and let me know what you are using editing wise. I can help you a bit with compression. Run a search as well in the Twilight forum. Great tips there as well.

Black & White worked for me and helped with the Twilight Zone feel. WAY too small of a format to post (a lesson I learned from the last fest). The opening title screen was my favorite part of the film. Other than that, the story was weak... Keep making films & having fun.

Ha yeah the story was a little weak, but we didn't actually sit down to write until October 12th or so, lol. But it was really fun to do zombies. I have always wanted to do a corny 50s-ish zombie movie, and now that it's out of the way, I can focus on other things. Thanks for the criticism. Any thoughts on what direction we could've taken it that would have made it seem better to you?

I don't know if you noticed but that's why we had the zombie with the hawaiian shirt and the lei on.... hell our video was so small that you might not have been able to tell.... gotta fix that.

Hey, fun film. The black and white segments worked for me. The humor was purposely hokey and thus worked well. The acting was good/bad in that bad/good kinda way. The vampire portion... er... not so much. Didn't work for me at all. The film is a bit rough, but I liked it. i'd say you should concentrate on your camera placement and lighting. Just play around with changing it up a bit. Keep it up and looking forward to your next!

silly little piece. looksl ike you had fun. just don't think zombies, in and of itself, makes it for this theme.
You're probably very right, Dick. I think it's just that all of us love old b-horror movies and we love zombie movies, and I think we just wanted to do one to get it out of our system. I'm going to work very hard to make my next production better. I've actually made better productions, this just wasn't one of them, lol.

Although I would consider this a failed attempt at film making, I would see this as a success in terms of TRYING to make a film. But next time give it more thought.

But it seemed to be intentional. I thought the film was quite funny... "automatically get a free lunch" was priceless. Sure, the cinematography wasn't the best but I was entertained!

But why was it a failed attempt at film making? It's perfectly fine for you to feel that way, but comments like that won't help me to become better unless you can give me a reason. That would be the best way to help me improve. Criticism no matter how harsh is my best friend right now, but in order for it to be constructive I need to know why

I agree. The film is not a failure by any means. My gripes are pretty much the same as everyone elses on this one. But it did make me laugh and I got it. Keep it up and go full steam in the next fest.
