2 stupid questions (newb)

I'm hoping someone can give me a little more insight into a couple questions.

1) For several years I've been shooting some local TV shows every week in a 4x3 SD format (aquire and delivery) Budget may be letting me upgrade equipment soon and I have been comparing price/quality/formats/etc etc. and I'm seriously considering the hvx170 because it still shoots SD 4x3 which I will still need till we transition to a bigger format. (along with tapeless workflow etc) The 150 seemed like a better choice because of SD cards vs P2 but that doesn't have a SD 4x3 setting.
I have read a few reviews from individuals that say the SD resolution is not very good on this camera. (actually worse than many consumer type cams???)
I've never rented the cam to see if this was true but can anyone expand on the SD quality????

2) This is a totally silly question but I'm gonna ask anyway cause I don't care if you think I'm an idiot......;-)
If you shoot something in 720p 60fps as many of the newer cameras do, and I put that footage on the timeline of my 720 30p project, does the footage play out at half speed???? I ask because I'm not sure how this works. Do you import the 60 fps clip to the timeline and then increase the speed by 100% to get a normal playback??? I hear this is great for slow mo footy but I'm not sure if I understand the workflow too well. Please respond back in laymans terms and speak slowly cause I think I must be damn near retarded on this issue. (never done it / never seen it done...) (adobe ppro cs4)

Can't answer your CS4 question. But I will say that the HPX-170 shoots one of the cleanest SD images I have ever seen. I did a few projects with it this year that had to be SD and it looks amazing. Noticeably better then my 100B.

No, it'll play at normal speed. But you should use a 60p Sequence.
