Hi All,

I currently have a C100 mkii and looking to get a second Canon Cinema Camera for a 2 camera shoot. Thoughts on a C300 mkii? Will I be able to match the cameras or am I better off saving $ and getting a 2nd C100 mkii? Thanks for your feedback.

C100 mark ii is cheaper and will be easier to match.

C300 mark ii is a vastly superior camera though.

Unless you place a lot of value on working with the better tools, if you can't get more $$$ for the c3002 then I'd definitely go for the cheaper camera.

If your'e not creating bold looks and it's for true to life corporate type shooting then you should be able to match both quite easily. As in, it's easy enough but two of the same cameras are even easier. I've never used cinematch (https://www.cinematch.com/camera-list) but both of the cameras are on their list and I believe as long as your'e shooting log you can get close pretty quickly.

Thank you Rob! Was looking into Cinematch if going C300/C100 mkii, Still on the fence with importance of matching 2 cameras and going with a 2nd C100 mkii.
