1DC: 1D c which first lens?

I might be picking up a used 1d c. What first lens should I go with? I am heavily invested in mft gear, so want to move slowly into the Canon world. Any feelings about the Tamaron 24-70?

I'm assuming you want to film with it =) and then there is no doubt in my mind that it should be the 25-105 4L IS.It does not quite reach the heights of the new 24-70 2.8 II or let's say Sigma 35 1.4 on the stills side, but the penalty on the video side (if any at all) is negliable (4k is only 8MP after all).It costs around $700-800 these days which is pretty hard to beat for the range and quality.I hear good things about the Tamron, but I can't personally not get over how it looks and that it zooms "the wrong way". I think the Tamron is a sharp lens that brings you IS at 2.8 but it has "onion bokeh" and I've heard AF isn't as strong as Canon's.I'd like it very much if a Canon 24-70 2.8 IS II could work for me, but my own tests shows me I need IS for video, else there is micro stutter. I do lots of handheld (or with monopod) shooting.

I suggest you buy Canon Cine lens, start with a 85mm T,

lol !!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, you got ballz.

Though, i trust you were joking, the 1dc is one of those cameras you could almost get away with only using a 50mm. (not a popular concept in this era of extremes to stand out from the masses of other videos. Seems most are going for the extreme wides, the extreme narrow depth of fields (1.2,1.4 normal and short telephotos), the extreme portrait lens (choosing 100mm + over the traditional 85mm), and of course extreme low-light. (though, I do not believe these extremes to be fads, just a bit more "go-to" than they need to be at this time.)
