&@$#%^!

Sad Max

Artful Dodger
Just got a call informing me that my father is in the ICU thanks to some dimwit who backed her car over him as he was walking past.

He's now caught up with me in terms of injuries, except that he's more than twice my age and received them all at once.

I don't know what's worse: being 3,000 miles away while my father's in the intensive care unit, or being 3,000 miles away from the driver whose head I desperately want to f*cking twist off her neck, right now.

I'll know in the next day or two. It really depends upon what happens on his end; they can always hire someone to replace me on the show if necessary.

Thanks, PK.

Sucks, I got a call yesterday saying my grandmother wasn't doing well, she lives in CA, im in KC, she passed today at the age of 93 (she had an amazing life). But yea I know the feeling, sorry to hear about your dad, get on a plane and go out for the weekend.

Dude. There's got to be a DVXuser nearby to do your dirty work.

It'll free up your time to be with your dad.

Good thoughts coming your way.

A few years ago my mother-in-law parked her car in the driveway and then went to the end of the driveway to pick up the newspaper. She didn't realize she forgot to put on the parking break and she ended up running over herself with her own car.

This has since led to much family joking, but at the time it was very serious and she spent two weeks in a coma in the ICU. She did end up making a full recovery and I hope your father recovers as well. I remember how scary those first few days were and my thoughts are with you.

If he's in Oklahoma, Terry and I could pay her a little "visit", then he could take a picture and have everyone caption it. Win win.

Don't know when I'll go back east yet, have to coordinate with my mother and see what they'll be doing at the hospital. Probably within the next couple of days.

Thanks for everyone's positive thoughts and good wishes.
