16gb cards new firmware?

I am about to rent some 16gb cards for a shoot, do I need to upgrade the firmware on my camera? and what about my FCP? the pana website is pretty overwhelming, so Im looking for some straight forward info.

Yes you must upgrade everything. Anything and everything that touches a card, so your camera, your P2 Store, your computer, your P2 drive, anything and everything needs updated software.
