16:9 Anamorphic shot

No, it'd be 864 with black bars on the top and bottom.

Ok - so the actual image area will be 864 x 576 (in PAL) pixels (excluding the black bars)? That's a 1,5 aspect ratio - not exactly 16:9. I'm confused

ok... just as wide as any other anamorphic footage

should i ask here the actual process of stretching the image..or should i post it over at a NLE thread?

I have PP. I cant interpret the footage as different aspect ratios. Is that where i can stretch it out? thats pretty easy...all i need now is the 700 dollars. Also, since you shoot and on the VF is has it all smooshed up, how do you frame the shot?

As if you would a 4:3 frame-accurately! The difference is subtle (in my opinion). People and objects look thinner that is all. Go on ebay if you want a lens like that. Mine just went for $350! I am saving up for cinemek!
