C100: 15mm Rods for C100

Hey, just got my C100 and now I need some form of baseplate that takes 15mm rods, as my old one is made for DSLRs and is too high. Preferably as cheap as possible - they're all basically the same anyway. No real need for a cage, and would only really consider one instead of a plain ol' baseplate if it were quite light and under $500.

Any recommendations?

Also, any general tips for me? Limits to how much weight the lens mount or top handle can handle?

Thanks!

I have the Zacuto Gorilla Plate for the Canon C series which is ideal for mounting follow focus's and matt boxes as it has front 15mm rods only. If you need rods at the rear then their studio baseplate works well.

Yeah, I'm wanting something that goes both ways. Shape and Zacuto look to be the main options, mostly just wondering if there were any alternatives. Over $300 for a baseplate is obscene!

Yeah I understand that! Cheap is hard to come by unless you check out eBay or sites like http://www.thecinecity.com/eshop/home.php

Getting one to fit the C100 isn't as hard as you might expect - DLSR baseplates tend to have risers to lift the camera away from the rods, but most flat baseplates will happily accommodate the C100.

I have the Shape and it's very well constructed, light and fits the camera perfectly and it's under 300$! I've been very happy with it so far.

Gosh, now I have too many options! Thanks all, much appreciated. Looks like the Cinema EOS community really is as good as it seems!

Real pity pretty much none of these manufacturers post the weights of their products, but oh well.

Will probably go with the Shape.

The Shape brings the rods right up against the base of the camera which gives the proper spacing for MB's and I know the Berkley does too. Not sure about the other ones. One more thing the shape and Berkley have is that the baseplate does not extend past the base of the camera to keep all the real estate possible for installing a FF.
