The issue, however, is licensing for the software.

For example, Apple requires a one time transfer, but all the original discs must also be included.

It would be good to know if the OP is including all the original discs.
 
The software is left installed as a "courtesy" to the lucky buyer... I could reformat it and slap a fresh install of OS X on it, but I'd like to think the buyer of this system would appreciate all this nice software being left on it... No CDs included.... Why do people post that aren't interested in purchasing the product... We don't care about your opinions if you have no interest in purchasing anyting....(Directed toward the licensing comment) Thanks for those who posted this is a good deal.. Which it is..

I WAS interested in your hardware and software if the latter included a license transfer and all the original discs.

That's why I asked the question.

It would permit me to have p2 card ingest and another license for FCP.

But that's not the case. I didn't know that without asking you.

Exactly what is your objection to my question?

sorry about that.. I've sold systems online here before and I get persecuted for leaving my software installed on my systems without inlcluding CDs or keys... Thought you were "one of those people" lol.. my bad david.. My approach is hands off... I can leave the software installed when i sell the computer for the next person to use, or I could wipe it all... Just though it would help out the next person to have fully functional software left on even if CDs and licenses aren't included.. (if you were slick, you would take ther serial # off of the pop-up at the beginning of the program and use that SN...).. it also, very clearly, says: Programs Installed... It doesn't say CDs and keys included..

But the system IS still for sale and the 1000 cash offer ends today and is only for you DVXusers... If you make the deal today, the price will carry on, but after today, that offer expires... jump on it people

Are you kidding? Obviously the people posting ARE concerned, else they would not have brought it up. And selling a computer filled with software and NOT including the software CDs is software piracy, and could get not only the seller, but the buyer, and this site in legal trouble.

Selling a computer is one thing, selling one filled with software as part of the asking price, when not offering licensed copies of that software with the computer is something different. If anyone has a problem with people asking about the included software, and possible problems of, we could always ask Jarred to give his opinion.
 
IF the OP is including all original discs... I would be willing to trade 1 8 gig P2 card - brand new, still in boxed and only used once. Along with $400.00 cash.

ASAP.

At that PRICE, clearly david s. was just stirring the pot on this (to some people, questionable) sale and only interested in the software, and AGAIN at that price, the discs are OBVIOUSLY not included. And maybe what concerns me more, is the fact that , lets just say, the discs WERE included, you guys wouldnt have a problem with him ripping off the seller by taking the software off his hands at that super low price? Thats just fine?

And in the end it should be, unless you want to PM the seller/buyer or report it to a mod.

Everybodies buddy, (hi jack) comes and promotes the sale, and hes the closest thing to a mod around here considering hes making a movie for the site owners last i heard .

As well as your post in here as if this was the cafe doesnt involve the sale of this machine as well.

Being concerned, and concering (involving someone directly) are different things. Could just report for the mods to decide this situation instead of having a discussion of the legallities of this in this thread.

imo i personally think replies in the marketplace should be turned off just like jobs to prevent situations like this. I cant imagine if i made a marketplace sale thread like this, what would occur that is.
