14mm Pancake

I owned my first GH2 early this year to use with FD glass and my current EOS lineup. I sold it shortly due to Silver color to wait for Black. Due to delay I picked up Black with 14-140 kit to get it quicker.

Although not the fastest lens, the 14-140mm is good all around for a general purpose lens. I'd still prefer something faster, so I sold it..

I never tried 20mm or 14mm and kind of didn't want to for the price. But as of recent I've been traveling and following a few guys on their adventure and need something wide and light since I sold the 14-140.

I pulled the trigger on the 14mm and was really amazed by the size. I knew it was small, but didn't anticipate it smaller than my adapters for FD, EOS, etc. This thing is tiny. Makes my GH2 feel semi point and shoot, which is great.

At F2.5, it's not the fastest, but I wanted the wider range over lower stop. I took it to a wedding tonight and I'm convinced on these Lumix pancakes. I'd definitely like to try a few others in the lineup. I love the fact I can travel small with this camera and lens. Compared to my 7D and Lens, the GH2 is so light it feels like I'm holding my GoPro and shooting with awesome quality.

Random Ramblings but I'm mostly sober, was just amazed and had to post about it.

the pancake profile really is a blessing when you are on the fly. the zuiko's coming out are darn small too for fast primes. just ordered myself the 45mm f1.8 to fill my auto focus prime lens gap. i love my zeiss 50 but you just can't carry that thing around on a random night out. by the time you focus the moments gone.
