Has anyone seen the Director's Cut on DVD?
When I saw 1408 in the theater I didn't love the ending and I felt a bit cheated.

I loved the ending on DVD! It ended as I expect they wanted it to. I bet test audiences had wanted a "happier" ending and that's why they made the change for the theater run.

This one ends as it should have. IMHO

When I seen it in theatres I thought it was the worst movie ever made. I didn't get into it even the slightest bit. I thougt the cg was horrible, the story was lame and the ending sucked. I am pretty sure the dvd version ends the same way as the novel. Of course they can't put that in theatres because people don't like movies that are different, everything has to end happy and perfect. In short. 1408 was garbage. My opinion of course.
 
Wow doesn't seem like people really loved this movie for the most part. This has actaully turned into my favorite movie. I really love everything about it and the first few times I saw it, it was the directors cut. I also love how "it's only just begun" is now the freakiest song of all time!
