$14 Dollar Steadicam

Have you any of you guys either built one yourself or tried out this guys: http://www.littlegreatideas.com/steadycam/. I was going to build one myself until I got the money for a better one. Any ideas on how good homemade ones work. And should I buy one from these people. (I am sooo.... lasy, and 40 bucks is not to bad unless one of you guys will make one for cheaper).
