12-35 X announced

Looking at the demo clip that Igelkott Film posted, it appears that when the camera is zoomed in and focused and then zoomed back out that the image remains in focus. Parafocal?

...Yes, it is vastly over-priced, especially when you compare it to the Canon Full-Frame equivalent: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM : $2,299

:-b
I have (and love) that lens. It, along with the Tokina 11-16 are my go-to lenses (and my less used 70-200 2.8L)

But I could see the 12-35 working in a lot of situations, replacing my (rarely used) 17-35 2.8L, and will wait to see what people's thoughts on it are...

Edit- I have the previous 24-70, didn't notice it's the new one. i still love mine...

I'd like to see Olympus upgrade their 14-54 lense to a constant 2.8 and make it parafocal, and put a zoom motor on it.
