12-35 X announced

Someone just mentioned these in another GH2 thread, I said that they probably weren't too close yet I stand corrected!

35-100/2.8 please come along.

12-35/2.8 OIS sound almost too good to pass up.
 
Wonder if the initial guesses on price are gonna stick. Still, it'll probably be well worth the 1K+.
 
Eager to test this next to the Leica D 14-50 and see if it's worth that extra ~quarter stop vs. the range decrease. Not sure it will.

Otherwise, eagerly awaiting the 35-100 X
 
This is a nice lens. I can't wait to slap it on my GH2. The range is perfect and will go great with my 7-14. I can’t seem to find any info if it is parfocal or not. I hope it is.
 
The big question for me is does the aperture and the focus drift during zooms like every other micro 4/3 lens i've used.
 
Very nice...depending on the performance, that could replace the Tokina 11-16 for a lot of folks since they'll get the ultra-wide and a more normal focal length. The constant 2.8 is what makes it a great buy to me...
 
Definitely worth it vs. the Tokina. That's a nice lens, but for twice the price you essentially get twice the lens plus AF and OIS.
 
wait! is it really constant f2.8? wow! if its parfocal i definitely will buy it even i am going to move into canons.....

the only thing is the price - 1100e its kind of hurts, but if its parfocal then its maybe worth it.....
