GH3 1080p60/50 external recording?

Apologies if this has already been discussed:

Is there a portable external recorder available that can record 1080p60 (or 1080p50) progressive or PsF (not interlaced) via HDMI?

I believe in the past the answer to this question has been "No", but just checking to see if things have changed.

It appears that Ninja-2, Samurai, KiPro, and Pix 2xx can't record 1080p60/50 HDMI. Anything else? Convergent?

Just wondering if there's a way to get higher data rate recordings from the GH3's live 1080p60/50 output?

(Related: I wonder if any of the laptop capture cards/boxes can do it? I'm interested in a portable solution.)

According to the GH3 user manual you can now set the HDMI output to be progressive (GH2 was interlaced only).

Thanks in advance.

The only portable solution I know of is the Gemini from Convergent Design. Very expensive and it only has SDI in, so you would need an HDMI to SDI converter box. There are reasonably priced PCIe capture cards from Blackmagic and AJA that handle 1080 60P, but that's not a portable solution.

The interest in an affordable portable box to record 1080 60P HDMI is certainly here. It's only a matter of time before some company steps up to the plate and offers one.

Hi Ralph, could you name those please? Near as I can tell Blackmagic currently has none. The upcoming DeckLink 4K is supposed to support 1080p60, but their promises have died without materializing before.

The lowest-priced AJA with 1080p60 that I can find is the discontinued AJA KONA 3 at around $800 on eBay. There's the AJA Corvid at $600 new but it is SDI, not HDMI. Thanks!
