1080p FireStore

Okay, I have question that I've posted before within other threads, that I've emailed Focus Enhancements about, and have private messaged people about and nobody seems to be able to give me an answer.

I noticed that the new FireStore update adds 24pN recording for 720p. From what I understand, you set the camera to 720/24p and turn native recording ON in the FireStore. This in turn starts the FireStore doing its own pulldown process in which it only takes the flagged frames from the 24p footage.

Okay, so here is my question: Can this same thing be done with either 1080/24p or 1080/24pA footage?:dankk2:

You cannot elect any 24pNative setting in the HVX200 and expect it to record out firewire the FS-100 with v.3

You can however, elect either pN or QT pN in the FS-100, and then select 1080/24p in the cam and the FS-100 will strip out the redundant frames.

I did this with 1080/30p yesterday

Thanks man. That's very useful. Forgive me if I'm not understanding though... Can this also be achieved in 1080/24pA mode? I'm not as big a fan of 1080/24p mode.

There are no redundant frames in 1080/30p though.

The question is whether it'd happen in 1080/24pA (or even, perhaps, 1080/24p). There's a single duplicate frame (or, well, sort of effectively a duplicate frame) in 1080/24pA mode. Does it strip it out and leave only the pure frames? I wouldn't expect it to, but that'd be a nice little bonus if it did!
