1080 vs 720

Other than more storage space per p2 card, is there a reason to shoot 720 over 1080 for our short film?

I'd shoot it in 1080 and then just your off-speed stuff in 720 and uprez it in post. I have been shooting mostly 720 out of necessity for I've been doing longform stuff so far, but on my projects I'll do 1080... for I think it has like 20 percent more res.. or something like that. Depending upon who you ask and some say YEAH it's worth it.. and others... will poo poo it.

If you are going back to SD though.. might not make that much difference.
