1080 24p on Mini DV?

[Cynic821]

I saw that it plays the DV tapes, i have a mass amount of footage on mini DV and was wondering if it played back the DV footage which it probably does...but

My main question is :

All of that 1080 24p and 720p variable frame rate footage, is that recordable on a miniDV tape? or does this camera even take miniDV or am i imagining this?

Please help

thanks

It only records standard resolution DV onto MiniDV tape. DVCPro50 and DVCProHD has to be recorded onto the following:

P2 cards
Firestore-type intelligent hard disk
Laptop via Firewire or USB2
