1080 24f footage into Vegas??

I was told footage shot in 1080 24f wouldn't be able to captured directly from Sony Vegas 7. Anyone had first hand with this? I'm used an XH-A1.
If it can be done is there any loss to coloring or resolution? or any downside?

24f captures fine in to vegas 7. it's stored as a 4:2:0 1440x1080 23.976 discreet fps m2t (no pulldown).
