100b lens/filter attachments???

I am looking to buy a dvx100b and I am new to higher end video equipment. I have a few questions about the way that the lens attachments and lens hood attach. Does it have a 72mm screw in or is it a bayonet mount or does it have both and if so how does this work?

Also, How would I go about using a wide angle lens with the stock lens hood? Can you do this or would I need to get a matte box (I would rather not)?

My next question concerns attachment order. Can I go in this order: Camera then filters (uv, neutral density, polarizer, etc.) then screw in wide angle lens?

Thanks.

1. The hood attaches to the outside of the lens, and can easily be taken off. It is completely separate from the lens and threads. I don't think you can use a wide angle with the lens hood... but I'm not 100% on that. You'd need a matte box, or nothing at all.

2. 72mm threads on the lens itself.

3. Filters are double threaded, so you can use as many as you'd like. One in front of the other.

You'll want at least a UV or clear filter to throw on there right away to protect the lens. Even if it's a five dollar cheap clear filter.
