10 things I've learned from the internet.

Hey Bat...really good film. It's inspiring. You told a good, riveting story with a singular location. Love that.

Thanks. I shot it on my moldy old Sony FX-1...I took a break from shooting my own stuff but these new DSLR's are getting tempting to play with. Might film something this summer.

Sadly, I haven't filmed anything to completion (no narratives anyway) since Film school many ions ago. I just can't be bothered with drumming up other enthusiastic people. I'm sure they are out there but...

I'm sure you did 95% of the work, Marcos (:lipsrseal), but without that gang of cohorts who 'feel your pain' and are willing to work a few all-day gigs with nothing to show for it but a credit, its an uphill grind. Especially if you aren't crazy about the story you are telling. Which is the biggest hurdle for me.

But, the simplicity of yours, (1 location, 1 visible actor) is inspiring. It has gotten my wheels churning.

Here's what I learned from the internet:
1. Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits.
2. Godwin's Law: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."
3. There are millions of women out there looking for dates... and I can't find one.
4. Once you begin using forums or chat programs, grammar and spelling go right out the window.
5. Acronyms are king.
6. There exists porn out there that I never would have thought to seek out... and that means not only does someone demand it, but someone also thought to create it.
7. Google will eventually take over the world... and efficiently map their take-over.
8. Facebook makes the Highschool reunion obsolete. The only people from highschool you can't find online are the 2 people you thought would kill themselves anyway.
9. Leave Brittany Spears alone.
10. Making a successful Youtube video can indeed start a career for you. Just ask Jon Lajoie.

Believe it or not I actually did 100 percent of the shooting work, pushing the dolly, manning the tripod, keeping focus, monitoring sound while feeding the actor lines. Literally a one man crew. It was kind of a high wire act but we had all the time in the world since I shot in the actors own garage. Also did all the post except the CGI face, which the actor did himself. The scoring is the only credit that's misleading...I intended to replace all the music but I ended up keeping most of the temp soundtrack. All that's mine is some mood stuff and the final music cue.
