10 things I've learned from the internet.

1. If a person has a big ego, and picks a cyber-fight they'll never drop it. They'll also claim that they're not better than anyone else. However, they expect you to bow down to them.
2. Just because you type LOL, does not mean you're laughing.
3. If you download something, and it's an EXE, and it's supposed to be MP3. It's probably a virus! Why would you open that? (lol, I've done this at least 2 or 3 times)
4. Just because you have a website, doesn't mean anyone goes to it.
5. You can talk to people for years, never knowing what they look like.
6. It's universal, you can talk to someone from england and new zeland. AT THE SAME TIME.
7. If you think you've found an interesting article, someone else has already found it and has posted it already.
8. 30% of the people online are looking for a date.
9. The other 70% are probably on ebay or craigslist looking a for a deal, heh.
10. If you're looking for something, google has it 9 out of every 10 times.

Well people usually use the internet for porn more than deals and dates. :)

...

Not me of course.

statistically facebook and that kind of social networks overpassed porn not long ago.
I can't seem to find the statistics, I had a link but it vanished....

also, the internet has all the information you'd ever need to learn anything that was ever thought of-just.

the internet has probably more potential for making money out of movies than most people realize..

The Internet= The source material for anyone claiming to be an expert (but having no real world experience).

The scariest thing about the internet is, what if it became alive and aware 10-15 years ago, has slowly but with increasing speed and efficiency enslaved the human race ever since and there's no way to turn it off?

Not that I'm paranoid or nothing. =)

I've learned one thing: anonymity is the best and worse aspect to the internet.

Dit-friggin-to...

LOL... usually means "laughing quietly to myself"... but when I type LOL... it's real. :cheesy:

IMO the internet has done three things significantly...

1) it's enabled me to meet some of the best people I could ever hope to meet... Barry, Fat Monster Crew, a few others.

2) it's empowered me to research data and information which has raised my knowledge on things that interest me... as well as find (and afford) things I didn't know about, or could previously afford.

3) been a potentially colossal waste of time, or the best investment of my life (which will only be proven/disproven over the long term).

My curiosity has to go up 11 points before I do actual reading or research, but your reply made this one go to 11... now I know too much.
