i must be going bonkers...i am sure i fiddled with those commands earlier and yes it indeed works including sound which goes on those speakers as well-i thought that HDMI is not puting any sound over port at all...you always learn something

Does someone have a link where I can buy the English version with matte screen? The link in post #1 is for Chinese Version glossy panel & states "Non-glossy screen has been sold out"
 
can someone tell me how these monitors are powered? I want to order one asap from one of the ones you guys suggest in this thread but I am not certain how it is they get their power? thanks
 
I need a matte screen, too. How long have we to wait? What are alternatives for the Leadstar? Any suggestions? Vitaly?
 
I could sell someone mine. It is the English language menu with the Matte screen. I got it a few weeks ago and haven't actually used it. I've tested it and it works fine, but not with the GH1. I had planned on getting the GH2 to use it with, but am sticking with the GH1 because I am in PAL land so I need to shoot 25p - something the GH2 doesn't do!

I accidentally bought this for my GH1, in desperation I was fiddling with the memus and miraculously I'm able to playback a video clip on my GH1! though my output is 480p, I think I hit WB button last (also using lpowell's 75 mbps peak performance settings if that matters) Its mini hdmi to hdmi connection. I will do more testing and report back.
 
Works on 720p as well, I think the trick is to first go into playback mode, then set input mode on the monitor to AV or VGA. Plug in hdmi wait for "tv output in progress" to finish blinking on camera, then switch input to hdmi. Works on the clip already set via playback, so you can't toggle between clips

Gh1 on a Marshall it´s also a bit slowly to playback and recognise output, but works, and I think that have to work , even 1080, with ANY HDMI as a standar or not?
And in Y/C?? it´s a video signal to a monitor...I´m surprised!
