••The Foundry is developing tech to correct "rolling shutter"••

And I need a plug-in to make all my shots look like Roger Deakins'!

If the plug-in works as well as the two examples shown, with minimum fuss, count me in.

We will. Even if it gets better there will still be times when we need to fix it, for tracking handheld action footage for example. Most cameras have this problem, even the reds.

Yes, that's right. I'm working on something similar using scripts and plugins that are already out there but targeting specifically Nikon D90. My main idea is batch processing so you can just leave it for a while (over night or while working on something else) to process all your video clips. Although I would prefer a plugin method for different video editors, afaik it's currently not possible as the files are read in 2 passes and the processing is still too slow.

I really like those fixes... sans Jello the image starts looking more like a global shutter film camera...

This would be a great tool to have.

is there anything released yet or that I could test? I have a bunch of jello-ee footage and could really use something to minimize the jello for this edit I'm doing now.

Thanks

your images do suffer a little zoom & crop
turn zooming off and check the option use previous frames to fill instead. works great a lot of the time, especially pans and small shakes. use interpolate into border if you get black frames.

@vcfilms, If you want you can send some of your video clips to me and I'll run my scripts on them and send them back to you.
