F35: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Amazing what they can do over there. Did you see that Super8 music video they handled a few years ago? He demo'ed that for me and I honestly assumed it was 16mm! There were details down in that 8mm negative that I never knew existed. They can scan like no man. It really put that Pro8's Millennium to shame. The guys over at Spectra went through hell getting a real 8mm gate on their Spirit but I doubt it compares. I see they now handle 16-35.

I didn't see the super8 music video- Do you have a link?!

I sat and watched some aerial stuff Paul filmed around Hawaii a few years back on 35mm, scanned at 4k and played in the 4k theater there- it was truly a spiritual experience.

I was like, "Ok this is why you would want to shoot film"

Killin it Hunter!! Wise move on the film/$$$ :-)

Which are your fave lenses of the optar family? & how much feet did you burn through?

Thanks dude!

I used to own a full set back in the days when I had my a minima, Now I just have the 9.5 and the 50 (I filled in with the GL optics 18-35 which is killer on super16) I really like the 50mm Optar- I think I need to buy a few more of them.

I shot about 3600' including camera tests and pick ups (about 10:1 ratio as the final should be around 10 mins or so)

I really enjoyed your short, great job by all working on this story, your passion for film making is much appreciated.
