F35: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Team F35,

Its been a fun and humbling past few years, I bought the F35 to use as a personal camera after Macgregor inspired me to (bad influence, that guy) and to this day am blown away by the look of the images. More importantly It was fun getting to know the camera along with all of you and I really enjoyed making projects with it and sharing them:

Going into the new year, I have found myself in an interesting scenario- A friend has purchased an Amira and is planning to park it with me to use on projects and rent out for him (FREE AMIRA HOLYS**T!?)

2015 is the year I want to shoot more narrative films and Im planning on funding them myself, being that Ill have access to an Amira (and additional F35's through close friends of mine) this makes me have to make a tough decision.

In light of this ive decided to sell my entire F35 package to help fund my short.

I guess I just wanted to give you guys a heads up before it hits ebay/marketplace, and say thanks, its been real y'all.

nice Hunter. well yes it was a great ride. that old block of a camera can now rest a decent peace.

I warn you now, you'll spend the next couple of years looking at footage and saying "This is good, but tell me why the hell the F35 fell out of favour exactly?"

Bittersweet Hunter! You did beautiful with the f35 :-) and without a doubt the same with the amira now.

Excited to see your short!! Let's get it!!

I ended up just spending all the money from selling the F35 to shoot my short on film instead of Amira; Anyway- here is a link to the trailer. Thanks guys!:

Makes me want to see the rest. Very nice work and love the medium choice. Who did you process/scan with?

Oh and that DR... it still looks way ahead of anything else.

Thanks guys! I scanned the Fuji Eterna 250D film with cinelicious.tv on the 4K Scannity HDR to 2k Cineon Prores 4444 files, then used Fuji's 3513 Print LUT in the "DI".
Not that I would print back to film on this one but it simulates a film print onto positive Fuji, pretty cool!

Good to see the money going into something as beautiful as using film, the trailer looks really good! Is this 16mm or 35mm? Can't wait to see the final film man

Did Paul cut you a deal at all? I assume he is very busy these days and I wonder how he is handling indie and no/micro-budget projects. Did you process at Fotokem?

Also very interested in this film's subject matter and curious to see what you did with that.

Paul graciously cut me a deal, a bit reluctantly but he did- it still was pretty expensive (at least for me) however its the best telecine I've used and I love those guys. Process was at fotokem, no discount. Anyone have a student ID I can borrow? ; )

The subject matter will be interesting for sure, probably a bit different than what the trailer might present.

Amazing what they can do over there. Did you see that Super8 music video they handled a few years ago? He demo'ed that for me and I honestly assumed it was 16mm! There were details down in that 8mm negative that I never knew existed. They can scan like no man. It really put that Pro8's Millennium to shame. The guys over at Spectra went through hell getting a real 8mm gate on their Spirit but I doubt it compares. I see they now handle 16-35.
