I was wondering if there was a way to link buttons in Adobe Encore CS3 to a timeline in Adobe Premiere CS3?

Is there a way to change the data rate on the capture, or the codec used to capture in vegas? I hate Microsoft's DV codec as there is almost always noise around very saturated colors.
Does anyone know if there's a way to export OMF from Vegas? I'm trying to export my timeline in a format that can be read by Soundtrack pro for the mac.
We've tried AAF and just plain ol' EDL, but the Apple can't read it.
