Ha good to see Jason Williamson from Sleaford Mods in it, being from Nottingham. Also Geoff Barrow producing - love Portisheasd and Beak. Both these people are music royalty here in the UK.
Trailer looks pro and interesting. Can Jason act? Is this due for cinema release or streaming?
I have used many Meike Canon batteries and they've all been great, they also make a quality EF to RF vari nd adaptor that in many tests is better than the Canon version with less tint - have been happily using that for a couple of years now so appreciate their stuff isn't crap
Phase detect AF, 32 bit float audio, internal RAW are all pretty decent upgrades. .Internal ND would have been a killer feature
Am intrigued with the Arri log, think it's a paid upgrade
Panasonic licenses ARRI LogC3 from ARRI for the LUMIX GH7

No worries I have to say I do prefer the image also from the S5ii, that extra DR is quite obvious, there's something strange going on in the shadows on the R6, R5 - there is no lattitude there.
Another plus is the audio takes line in and through my Sound Devides mix pre-d the audio is the best...
I had the R6 before the S5ii - I would say the AF on the Panasonic is better than on the R6. Also much better dynamic range, cleaner image even in apsc mode compared with full frame of R6, full size hdmi instead of the ridiculous micro hdmi on the R6, also you can connect external monitor with...
I film mostly in full frame which is what Ive got used to the last few years, the apsc I have used only when i need a bit more reach on the lens. Quality wise they are very similar. The 6k open gate is another handy feature which I have used when needing portrait 9:16 as well as 16:9 shots...
I feel the Canon EF work as well as the native lenses for AF they just aren't as quiet as the Lumix ones. IBIS again with the Canon lenses work great for me, perhaps Lumix lenses with IS work better in tandom with IBIS but none of my Lumix lenses have IS. But the IBIS with Panasonic is so good...
I haven't used the Sony fx30 but have the S5ii and think it has a beautiful image, prefer it to the Sony footage I have seen but that is obviously very subjective. The IBIS I think is amazing on it and way more useable than you have suggested - anything wider than 20mm may start to show a little...
This is only true on a Mac
For some reason the free version of Resolve on Windows does not support 10 bit h264\265.
It does on Mac.
I presume you are using Windows Bob?

I think there are many different Rode lav mics, this is the one I have think it's the most expensive one, can be used with 3.5mm and XLR.
32 bit float is definitely useful and nice to have no arguments there - but have never had any issues with 24 bit and a safety track. I just got a hardly used 2nd Tascam unit for £80 and it's hard to beat for the price. I didn't test the lav mic on the Tascam against the Zoom but presume that is...
For unmonitored lav with recorder I have found the good old Tascam DR-10L is still better quality than the Zoom f2 and its 32 bit float. Probably has a better lav microphone and with safety track you don't really need 32 bit float so much. The next step up from that is the Tentacle Track E...

Rode lav mic can use this xlr or 3.5mm belpw so best of both worlds. Been using for many years now and although the screw in cable seems quite flimsy have had no problems
