Howdy - I own a first gen HVX200, had it since March 2006. I've always cleaned the lens exclusively with either Pancro or Rosco solutions. Always used Rosco tissue (except for a brief flirtation with Kodak which lasted a day)
About a month ago I noticed the lens coating had some minor chips in...
Background = I live and work in New York but am shooting in Australia next week. Looking to rent some cards but want to make sure that there's no freaky difference owing to the differences in the PAL and NTSC models (I know about the frame rate difference between 'NTSC' HD and 'PAL' HD, but I...
Time to throw my hat in for weirdest post....
We're shooting a film set in a shitty hospital. There's a mouse in one scene - it just has to scurry along the wall.
Does ANYBODY have any experience with rodent wrangling? Ideas so far:
1. Buy many mice. Show them cheese. Place them on other side...
Gah, hate to be that guy - using an HVX200 and an Astro DM-3000B. Just trying to get the little fella to show me some signal. I've been all over the Astro itself and dug my way through the HVX200 menu to no avail. Here's what I've got.
Outputting component signal 720P
Component to RGB plugged...
All,
I know there's info on car mounts somewhere roundabout this forum, but the search tool is giving me donuts (that's zero, to you).
Any recommendations? I'm taking a peek at the Sticky Pod directors pack for $600-odd. Critiques? Warnings? Gushing endorsements?
I'm not at home, but need to order a new battery charger for me HVX200 which my eediot client has misplaced (yes, the 'client' lost it - I hear you sniggering)
Anybody got a model number handy?
And to boot, anybody got a model number for the longlife battery?
A thousand thank you's. I...
I'm shooting in a bowling alley and the director wants to unleash the 'Rock 'n' Bowl' for the finale. Anybody got any tips for shooting under UV lights? I'm somewhat in the dark...
Just like film, right? But better?
Then give me a dial - and let that dial adjust the frame rate whilst recording. Ramp up, ramp down, die happy. Non?
I searched the forum for this but couldn't find it. Tsk tsk to all of you.
Lenses designed by Oakley: beautiful glass, vastly increased functionality - and more chance for some of the crazy mallarky being posted here becoming reality (especially the focus, rack and histogram stuff that's been flying around - ace).
RED sonar performs a sweep of the set in front of the lens, tracing a partial 3D map which is then stored at an ultra low data rate within the meta data. A joyous tool for your 3D majicians to load into whate'er 3D graphics software they wish as a template.....
I've just been handed a script that is set in a town that is subject to perpetual violent windstorms. Much of the wind will be CG but I just know there's gonna be windmachines and evil, evil, evil dust.
Any suggestions on how to protect my baby?
Is it possible to shoot HD (720 or 1080) in 4:3 ratio natively, or do you have to do a work-around? (e.g. mask your monitor and then zoom + crop in post? Something better?)
Have succeeded in switching the P2 Store (model: PCS060) over to Mac compatible, but have so far had no luck in formatting it. Thinking that the HDD button is faulty, but thought I'd check and see whether anybody else was having trouble...
Confirm or deny, people.
