I just bagged a Pro Zoom DVX Controller for my DVX 100A on Ebay, which does not include instructions. Anyone know where I can snag a copy? Are these fairly straight forward to set-up?
Thanks,
Gary
I need to dub some dialogue for a couple of exterior shots, which were plagued by everything from passing cars to roosters crowing. I had planned on running my Shure SM-58 directly into the DVX100A, watching the scenes on the computer and recording the new dialogue, then importing the audio...
Wasn't sure where to post this, since it's not strictly a DVX question, but though another fellow DVX user might have some info. Just took the HD TV plunge after my nine year old set died. Was told by the salesperson that an HD upconversion DVD player/HDMI connection would make my standard...
I'm building a boom pole for my Azden shotgun mike using a Home Depot light bulb changer. The Azden shockmount uses a 3/8" Euro thread to 5/8" USA thread adapter, which fits any standard mike stand. I need a threaded stud that will be mounted on the end of the pole, allowing me to attach the...
I havent seen any rates for news stringers I'm thinking i will get my new a1 and change my rates per story what do you all think would be a good rate for news footage per station per story.
I've had my 5600 mah DVXuser.com battery since June of 2005 and it's worked great up until last weekend. When I installed it in the DVX-100A, the seam on the plastic cover split and now the cover is loose. I'm concerned about the battery leaking. I think the battery has a lifetime warranty...
Can anyone recommend a good internal DVD burner for PC? The NEC 2500 in my Dell Dimension 8300 is conking out. Most everyone I've seen is dual layer; I assume I can also use single layer media in these? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary
I haven't visited the site for awhile, but I seem to remember a post listing various film credits and what each meant. I couldn't turn up anything after a couple of searches. Is this info still available?
Thanks,
Gary
I need to replace my single layer DVD burner and have seen several inexpensive dual layer burners available to install in my computer tower. Is it possible to use single layer media in a dual layer burner? I still have several blank disks.
Thanks,
Gary
My daughter is just getting involved in shooting video and has asked to borrow my DVX 100A. For the love of God, can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced, entry-level miniDV camcorder she can learn with?:crybaby:
Please, if there's an understanding soul out there...
I just bagged a 5" portable black and white TV at Circuit City for under thirty bucks. It's got an AC adapter, car adapter and also runs on C batteries. The AV jacks make it a perfect portable video monitor for outdoor shooting.
If you haven't seen it already, it out at...
While looking over some footage we just shot at a sunny, outdoor location, I noticed a strange, round, black, binocular-type halo in the video. It's visible on the computer, but not TV safe region. I put a circular polarizer on over my clear lens filter (maybe I should have removed the clear...
I'm a bit late to the party, but I just discovered a 2004 fan film entitled, "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra", a hilarious send up of the ultra low budget horror and sci-fi films which flooded drive-ins in the early sixties. I'd like to contact the filmmaker, Larry Blamire, but couldn't find any...
I FINALLY found a souce for a Panasonic replacement lens cap for my DVX-100A, but they list two part numbers; VYK0Z96, which is lens cap assembly with knob ? and VYK0K48, which is lens cap. Both are compatible with the DVX-100A. I couldn't find a part number anywhere in my manual. Anyone have...
I want to add some stills of mock newspaper headlines to my video project. I was going to try taking a photo of an actual newspaper and tweaking it in Photoshop, but it would be tough to convincingly match up the new type with original. Anyone ever try this? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Gary
