Battery powered amp might be needed, but extra bulk. I don't think you can get enough current to power a "simple" amp from the bias current sources on either device.
I don't know if or how well that will work, but I will confirm that different microphones do have different wiring to transmitters. Each transmitter expects one thing, each microphone expects something, and getting the two to work can require some oddities. Usually not some much messing around...
If you were shopping for a camera that was not destined for making one's living, which of the following would you consider:
Sony FS5m1 hopefully with the raw upgrade already installed.
Z Cam E2-M4.
Yes I know the Z Cam needs expensive drives, but all the good resolutions need a USB C SSD...
Word of warning... Anyone thinking of buying the Canadian versions of these tools and bringing them to the USA should consider that these devices probably will not be FCC certified. What that means in the real world is very little, but it could cause you some grief if the wrong person happens to...
Doesn't look like I can delete this and the youtube guy is being kind of a jerk, guessing he needs to push the brand he is pushing because he go the work done for free.
If a mod/admin sees this, please delete.
A very small room, might give you some ideas. I don't think a behind the scenes video exists, at least I've never seen one.

How about recording with Open Broadcaster and setting your scene up as the key with background already in place? Free, fairly easy, and used by hundreds of Youtube gamers every day.

The biggest flaw with OBS is trying to...
I would check out an ellipsoidal light like a Source4, should be cheap to rent because they aren't exactly expensive. If the screen is small, a Source4 Jr. or Mini might do the job. I wouldn't concern myself with LED vs. tungsten for a single shoot...
I wonder where this will be in another 5 years, pretty impressive now.
I also wonder how well it would do with a very deep focus shot, I'm guessing that a lot of this depends on edge detail since it doesn't really know where the focus point is in the image.
Would the same apply if any of your students were asked to work on a similar feature? I think not. Cinema is cinema, stupid cartoons are stupid cartoons, I think they can separate the two for your discussion. Yes they may be turned off by the subject matter, but then they are probably turned off...
Projector might be key here. Do you need to generate a DCP for this project? If so I would probably finish in a 2k standard so that making the DCP would be easier. Still allows for a punch in.
But assuming this is something worth saving, finishing in 4k might be a good idea.
Does that mean I'm retro-cool because my FD lenses certainly have character, and I'm still using an old GH2? I'm almost throw back to super8 film cool at this point.
Just a word of warning...
One of my faculty has a 2017 Mac Book Pro with an i5 processor. We were going to install MC 2019.7 on this so that he could do some prep. work and grading at home. Come to find out that the installer won't even run because his machine is not certified for this version...
Front mounted may only do this in that strange flow of pattern through infinity focused lens through filter through infinity focused lens through to sensor. I've never noticed this when just using a filter to view an object through a lens. But as you said, anything behind a lens will change the...
Actually, that filter in the optical path will change the flange ficus length, so you would need to adjust this for no filter, or use clear material with the same refractive index as the ND.
I see this same thing on the lens collimator that I built. It works as expected when no filters are...
Going to throw this out there and see what happens. Looking for a Canon new FD 35f2 lens, MUST NOT have slop in the focus ring! I have two of these tat have slop between the focus ring and the posts that drive the helical gears. I see a few on Ebay, but this always a gamble, especially from...
Does anyone know of a way to make the pick and pull foam in many different cases stay together? I finally went out to Harbor Freight and bought some cases for my lenses. Plucked out spaces for everything I currently own, and just know that the more I pull them out and put them back, the more the...
So I've been thinking about getting a used BM Micro Cinema Camera to have something small that shoots "better" images than my GH2's, by better most of that would be 1080/60p. Another thread brought up a Z-Cam model that I wasn't familiar with, so I started looking. What I found was the E2C...
