This might be not the right forum, but I think there are plenty of people here who edit their own work.
The question is fast cutting, why and when? Clients seem to like short films (1 minuter for youtube / facebook)
Is fast cutting necessary for Internet viewers?
Like to hear your opinion.
No I would not do that. I think the lens mount will break.
But with tripod with big plate it is possible to support both.
The lens will become longer at 600 mm so you have to maintain balance by moving the base plate.
I use an aluminium plate to support it (base plate was a fraction too short).
For sale Canon FD 35-105 F3.5 manual focus Lens. One of the best vintage zoomlenses from Canon. In very good state. I love this lens on the Sony FS7. Sharp, but not too sharp. Smooth focus, smooth zoom.
Price for this gem is 60 euro.
International postage possible.
Reason for selling this...
Not sure if I need one but I want one in case of need.
A LED light for the FS7 for Run and gun and fill in light.
There are a lot of lights out there form 30 euro to 600 euro, I can't see the difference on the product pages.
Which one you recommend dear dvxuser?
thanks
I own a panasonic Lumix G6 camera. Filming in HD is possible and the footage looks nice but not perfect. But the camera is very handy in some situations.
How is the panasonic GH4 as a B-cam? Can this camera be matched with the FS7?
tnx
The body doesn't look sexy or iconic.
Much better with a big lens and a huge mattebox, enormous rigs, and a nice base-plate. A real challenge for third party companies to add all kind of stuff like that.
And of course with lots of nicely colored cables.
Once in a while I find shots of air, ground or the inside of the camera bag. And missing the shots that I made right after that.
Since the camera doesn't shake or makes noise while filming (and I don't always notice the small red dot in the viewfinder) it happens now and then that I think I am...
How do you use the FS7 on a day filming?
Switch camera on, shoot untill battery dies, replace battery and go on, or switch camera on shoot for a while and when don, turn camera off, and switch on 15 minuter later?
I use the on/off switch all the time, when I don't use the camera (5-10...
I have to film on a boat, salty water. What is the best way to protect the camera from spray-water?
I know the Ewa marine bag, but that is a bit expensive (need it only 1 or 2 days).
Is there some home-made solution or less expensive solution to avoid water getting in the camera?
Thanks
The Tamron 150-600 is a nice and not so expensive lens. Not the best, but when you need one once in a while this is a good alternative.
Some of the pictures are made with a (too) light tripod. The hot air adds some effects too. And so does Vimeo.
According technician from Sony this lens has no distortion, but some details might be lost in translation, the guy didn't speak English so it was translated by a marketing guy.
Not as far I could see. All functions can be don manually or auto. One of the lenses showed on an A7 had a follow focus.
Zoom, focus and aperture all manually or auto.
The Zeiss lens shifted from T2,9 to T3,9 but that went so smooth according the salesperson that is almost not noticeable.
Sony 18-110 Cine zoom
Zeiss 21-100 Zoom
shake hands with Mitch Gross
These were the 'items on my list' did all and no one was disappointing.
The Hamburgers at the fair cost 14 euro = 18 dollar. So these must be 'real professional cine hamburgers'
Now trying to upload some pictures from phone.
Rode NTG2 and NTG3.
I have both microphones, the NTG3 is the better on paper. The NTG2 seems a bit more sensitive.
Most of the time I have the videomic pro added on the camera too.
I want one of these microphone's placed on the FS7. The other one will get a nice warm place in a blimp.
Which...
I am thinking of buying a used mac to transcode xavc clips to prores. Which (old) mac can do the job or what are the minimum specs to do the job smooth?
