FS7: canon fd 35-105

I have one, too (plus the 50mm F1.4), and both are working great with dumb Euro 10 adapters.

Can it replace the 18-105 sony lens?

BTW I took some time to see some of your your showreels, (esp. small camera grip) I like them a lot .

Paired with a 16mm or an 18mm it could cover the same range but alone not really

If you are on a budget I think samyang make an affordable 16 (retro wide angles are rare and costly)

Add a 50 1.8 too and you would have a very versatile lens set.

Of course if your shoots move along so fast that you do not have time to change lenses then you need an 18-105 or similar.

Your best retro option in that case would be a 28-85 with a speed booster.

I have the Rokinon 14mm canon 24mm 2.8 and an old zuiko 55mm 1.2

The Sony 18-105 is OK in HD.
The reason I want to replace the sony is the unreliable focus. Had some shots ruined with this lens (I can only describe them as focus dips.)

With a 100% manual lens this won't happen (or I can only blame myself).
