when editing a normal 24p footage in final cut on a 29.97... timebase, is there a need to preconfigure final cut's settings to export the final product with the pulldown embeded??

i know that both 24p and 24pAdv should be captured in 29.97, but my question was if i could edit the regular 24p footage in a 29.97 time base or if it would be better to conform it in cinema tools to edit in 23.98. My output will be in a native 24p dvd using dvd studio pro.

i just got my new dvx100b and would like to know if any of you guys have recommendations on the best settings regarding the dvx100 camera menu, would work best for a 24p music video/ film. best combinations of scene file and shutter speeds..... before taking it to final cut pro for color...
