Casting and directing someone really overweight...advice?

If you make a film about weight you may as well learn something from people who bring "a bit more to the table" about the theme of your movie. And you can not dance around them and make them believe they are little butterflies. And I am not sure if you should go for actresses who will do...

    Homepage not loading fast enough

For reasons unknown since a couple of days the homepage of this forum does not load for minutes. Is there any reason for this? I'm sitting in Germany and all my other applications/sites run/start without a problem.

    New Weisscam - nice cam

This is interesting - not only in it's tech-specs but as another approach to build a camera as a technical platform that can grow and change with time..... different sensors (among it a S-16) and raw or HD output...

    AF1xx & documentary work....

Sorry, it's only in German, but a good translation programm may help a bit: www.film-tv-video.de/newsdetail+M5592469e004.html From the pictures alone it looks like this guy has no doubt that the camera rocks doc-wise - and that he doesn't use it to shoot only docs about fluffy rabbits... ;-)

    Voigtlander 17.5 / 0.95 coming...???

Still a rumour ... http://www.43rumors.com/ft3-hot-new-voigtlander-17-5mm-f0-95-coming-in-may/ ....but nice. 12 or 14 mm would have been even nicer.

    What Atomos could teach Panasonic...

New firmware update for Atomos Samurai out 30th of January, adding some nice features: http://www.atomos.com/samurai/firmware/ Wouldn't it be nice if also camera firmware could develop in the same, constant way? If it is impossible now - for reasons I may not know or understand - why not...

The Germans are (not yet) coming - directors perspective.

Okay - The Germans. Nothing I write is a dogma. Lots of people may disagree - Germans foremost. If you don‘t like it remember that oldcorpse is responsible for it. He made me do it so I make a fool out of myself here: We start as most German tales with: Once upon a time .... and here our...

    Another 3rd of November announcement

It will happen on the 3rd of November at 20:15 German time. It's 90 minutes long and it's a TV-movie. It will be shown on the second national channel ZDF. It is called MÄNNER TICKEN, FRAUEN ANDERS. We did not care on what camera we shot - as long as the machine we used did what we wanted. So we...

Looking to find a small sized Igus rail and part number for slider.

I have one and it's rock steady. Actually this is because the broader version of the rail - which is advisable for cameras like the AG-AF - is kind of heavy. This is about my only complain - giving that the Igus is so low-cost.

    Long Glass

We had some good results using the Nikon 400 2.8 (even with a 2x teleconverter) - few shots here. Will have better graded material up soon. http://www.vimeo.com/23108389 But this lens is maddeningly expensive to buy. We rented. Had some rather good results with an old Vivitar 100 - 500...
