Has anyone used or had experience with the Cavision dslr rig with or without the FF? I was also looking into piecing together the red rock. Would you have to buy the dslr baseplate with the universal plate to be able to mount on the tripod? All in all what would be the best way to go about it...

I went on ebay to search for an affordable FF and proaim came up. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with it and if it is worth buying for the cheap price for the 7D. Sorry if this has been a post already but I am trying to avoid spending the money on a RR or zacuto.

I am about to pull the trigger on my first camera, the 7D. I am looking into a set of primes or zooms that can not only provide great image for my 7d but can be useful to me for the future with another camera. What would the best primes or zooms to do this be?
