I havent seen any rates for news stringers I'm thinking i will get my new a1 and change my rates per story what do you all think would be a good rate for news footage per station per story.
I was got one of the first produced HVX-200 cameras, I've never updated the firmware, but I've heard rumors about new features like "repair clip". Do I need this?
Who upgrades the camera? Can I do it myself? Does it cost anything? Are there any known big issues with the early firmware?

I work at a Student TV channel in Norway. Each week we do a contest. The rules are pretty simple. We at Student TV remake (mimic) a famous scene from a famous film. But we make a little twist to it. We have over 70 employees so it's a long time between each time I make a contest contribution...
The alliance of DVXuser may collective influence Apples choices for future versions of Final Cut Pro. Of the top of my head I can't wait for Final Cut Pro to fully support the european HVX formats. (FCP don't support 720/25 out of the box). So, please remember to request what changes you would...

Hey there, I hope someone has run into this.
When I bought the HVX, I didn't actually want to deliver HD products, and I still don't. But filming at DVCPROHD100 (which allows phenomenal colorspace, gamma depth etc.) compared to regular DVPAL makes a lot of sence, because I should be able to...
Hey PAL users, I've gotten a few messages from users claiming that Final Cut Pro is unable to do direct capture from the HVX-200 to for example a laptop when using the 1080/50i setting. Well, so this is wrong. - To help you on your way, I'm posting screenshots of my settings in FCP. And just a...
Hellu,
