Im somewhat fazed by the manual's instructions for 'cranking. Can someone explain what to do - I would like to record a bouncing ball and see it played back in slow motion and then in fast motion on the LCD. Whenever I try this it just seems to play back at normal speed. Loosing a few brain...

I like scene F6 for its latitude, but I find it quite a bit noisey in dark area... So what are people doing to reduce the noise in camera or in post. I tried some noise reduction software but it makes the footage soft and patchey (like someone has gone over it with a pencil rubber)...

I read that you can dump P2 to HDD via FW (host mode) only 15 times, so does this mean that for my 8G card a HDD bigger than 120G is a waste? In other words two 120G would be better than one 240G HDD??

Ok I tried Edius trial but it only reads MXF and captures @ 1080 modes - no 720 modes What else is available on the PC for 720 modes?
