I just noticed that there's a new firmware update:
Ver. 1.84-
Improvements
1. On rare occasions, the operation of REC button on the unit or a wired remote control may no longer have any effect. This problem is fixed.
2. If the card is ejected from the main slot during the simultaneous...
I just happened across this video on YouTube. It looks like someone edited together sections of a tutorial series that Bernie Mitchell did on the DVX200. There's some good info in there for those new to using the camera but some of the content is kinda odd...
I am just curious if anyone else has had issues with the results of white/black balancing at the same time. I have found that the white balance doesn't always work if you also black balance in the same instance. If you white balance separately it seems to work fine.

7DDude, I have the same problems you have mentioned. I am embarrassed by some of the footage I have had to use recently. I'll admit that I am a novice using this caliber of a camera (my only other experience was with a Canon XA-10 outside of the 5D MKIII). I expected a learning curve but...
Thanks for the suggestion Mapper65, I DO like the new GH4 scene file with the "natural" color setting! The weird skin tone is gone. I must have done something wrong on a previous test because it didn't stand out first time around.
The WB issue still persists though. Easily corrected in post...
We recently upgraded to the DVX200 from a Canon XA10 for better image quality in our b-roll footage. Most of what we produce are corporate how-to and product overview videos that involve a lot of outdoor run-and-gun style shooting. So far I am struggling with getting an accurate white balance...
