I'm shooting a feature film in 24p on the DVX100b, editing in Premiere Pro 2, and not going out to film. I will be using Lightwave, Partical Illusion and AfterEffects. In addition, I wish to incorporate some 60i footage from my GL2 into the same project. After reading numerous posts and...
Can anyone tell me the appropriate circle of confusion value to use for the DVX100b (wth it's standard 4.5 to 45mm focal length) when calculating DOF, assuming the final viewing format is DVD on widescreen TV?
Thanks for any input you can provide.

I have dv footage taken on a DVX100b but don't know if it was shot as 24p or 24pa. Is there a way, either in camera or in PP2.0 to detect which one it is?

I'm building a computer for editing, using Premiere Pro 2.0. Any suggestions on good LCD monitors to use? What are the important specs to look at when comparing monitors in terms of brightness, contrast, etc?
I'm new to the DVX and want input on choosing the right format for my first project. We're working on a feature action/adventure film, using both crane shots and a lot of steadicam work - the camera will be moving a lot. We don't expect to go out to film, but would anticipate distributing...
I'm new to working with the DVX100B and need to know if I capture 30p footage into Premiere, do I have to do anything to enable me to view it as 30p or is it automatically captured that way?
Thanks for any input that you can provide.
