I got a private request for more info on my FS7 & camera case set-up, so here goes... The Case is a Pelican 1650 with foam interior which I laid out so the camera with lightweight baseplate and rods can lower down vertically into the case without interfering with the lid. A Manfrotto 357 quick...

Just noticed another NewMRW-G1 XQD Card Reader... This one a CFexpress-B Card & XQD Card Combo Unit. After reading reviews of the previous New SD Card & XQD Card reader many people mentioned that they were over heating, so it's good to see the new new reader has a field of holes on top for...

Howdy! I just spent three-days shooting green screen in custom mode & HD XAVC-I and the Director/Editor is attempting to pull a key using the latest After Effects and not happy with the key he's getting so far. He's in a bit of a panic and already contemplating re-shoots. (I really need your...

Howdy! I recently rented extra FS7 cameras and went to load the ALL FILES from my camera into the other three cameras. One of them wouldn't accept the files no matter what I tried. All cameras were Mark I models with Version 4.31. (as I recall the menu read "Cannot Proceed"). I also rented...

I have a theatrical performance with a running time of two-hours to shoot and am considering Sony 240GB G XQD Cards... Is anyone using these on their FS7 and do they work OK? Can Anyone suggest the recording time per card while shooting 4K?

Is there anywhere in the menus of the FS7 where one can turn on and off some kind of warning for if you are trying to shoot with no camera cards loaded into the camera? Something Like a "NO MEDIA!" Type WARNING Indicator in Menus? I looked around through the operating instructions and didn't...

Howdy Group! Have some repeat work coming up and looking for a good Camera Assistant / occasional Camera Operator in the Los Angeles area familiar with pulling focus who can manage two or more FS7 Cameras. Cloning camera All Files, setting up wireless tablet control, slating, etc. Pay may be a...

I've been looking at the relatively new MicroPrime Cinema Lenses from SLR Magic. They look pretty good and the size is about right. (Bigger than the Veydras, yet smaller than the Xeen / Canon size cinema primes). There are few reviews on the B&H website and wonder if any of us here are using...

I've been collecting bits & pieces across the web and putting them here... FS7 INFO PAGE E-MOUNT CINEMA http://cynthiawebster.wix.com/e-mount-cinema#!xavc-post/ched Hope that you find it useful and I'm also happy to add any pix or links that you'd like to send. Best Wishes! Cynthia Webster...

Howdy! Just found one of the most useful FS7 Blog / Hints / Reviews I think available short of Doug Jensen's complete course. http://thec47.com/articles/ Way down the page seems to be a wonderfully simple solution to the Hand Grip situation. After reading of all the custom rosette machining...

Howdy! I remember seeing a battery plate for the FS7 that took the place of the Sony XDCA-FS7 Adapter allowing one to use V-Mount Batteries, however what was different about this particular one was that it contained a small battery inside allowing the hot-swapping of batteries without losing...
