Has anybody figured out why the auto-focus sometimes takes a while to kick in?
I mean, you've turned the function on, you're focusing on something far away, it's clearly out of focus, and takes up to 10 seconds or more to come into focus.
It seems to be working intermittently for me.
Any...
Can anybody explain the different between ECS and Flicker reduce with respect to trying to eliminate the flicker from an older tubed PC screen?
In otherwords, why would you use one over the other,...or is the flicker reduce function meant for some other purpose?
Thanks.
I know that using the Picture Profile function you can effectively "dial in" any color temperature you like using the WHITE function. However, unlike other cameras I've worked with, I can't seem to "SEE" the changes I'm dialing in until I save and call up the particular picture profile again...
This is a Final Cut Pro question as related to working with EX clips, so I'm wondering if any posters here might have an answer for me.
I'm working in FCP 6.0.2.

- The manual says...

Is there a way to by pass this. It's time consuming if you're in a rush.
Thanks.
I work in an environement where the HD standard is 1080/60i 35vbr, so the HQ 1080/60i is the correct setting for me on the EX1.
So when I want to make a speed change, I have to stay in the 1080 family of
record formats which limits me to 1080/30p. I can't use any of the 720 formats because of...
Does anybody know if it is possible to have the EX1 Menus display on any of the video outputs so they can be captured for illustration purposes?
I know this is possible on the SONY F-350 XDCAM, but of course, that's a whole different camera.
Thanks for any feedback.
Has anybody run across this when preparing to edit?
If you've got two SxS cards and your last clip on card one continues onto Card two, when you mount the camera and use XDCAM transfer, you don't have
access to that complete last clip. You have to unmount the camera and first card and remount...
