EX1 Batteries

Does anybody have experience with the new EX1 batteries. Specifically:

- Can you leave the battery in the charger after it's charged, or will that start to kill the battery or shorten it's life?

- Are you supposed to completely drain the battery before you recharge it?

- The manual says that you may not be able to recharge a battery that is still warm? What are they telling you to do? Let it cool then recharge it?

Thanks.

The EX1 batteries are Li-Ion. Your questions are answered in our FAQ page - it covers all Li-Ion batteries regardless of make.

Alex, your FAQ didn't answer this one.

BTW - do you know if these batteries would be able to run say a Panasonic BTLH80 if someone like Nebtek made an adapter plate.

I know the Panasonic camera monitors didn't have the poop.

That is right, it is never a good idea to charge a very hot battery. On the other hand they never get hot in normal use, it sounds more like a disclaimer in case somebody left them in a car in a hot summer day...

Electrically they have enough capacity and voltage to power a Panasonic monitor. The only possible issue is in-rush current on power up. It could trigger the internal circuit breaker...

about batteries:

posted in the EX-1 was:

"I am pretty disappointed that the OFF position on the switch is not really off"

This explains why my batteries have experienced being drained down from simply being left in the camera, but not from actual use.

Any idea if this something that can be addressed in a firmware update?
My s/n is 100752. I purchased from AbelCine in NYC.
