    1394 800 Drives

    Does anybody know if I can use a 1394 800 mbbs portable drive to transfer the P2 files with the HVX-200? I have a 160 gb portable drive 1394 800 /400 and a cable 4 pin (400 mbbs) to 9 pin (800 mbbs). I set the camera to 1394 Host and when I connect the drive to format it, it says :Initial Error...

    HVX-200 vs JVC 250 HDV

    The HVX-200 samples colors in 4:2:2 using 540 x 960 CCDs and JVC GY-HD250U samples in 4:2:0 with 1280 x 720 pixels CCDs. What camera would give a better picture quality at the end? Anybody would know about this issue? Thx.
