Snow Footage 60p

I think the whites look super blown out, and the darks have no detail. hopefully it can be set up a lot flatter than that.

(Chris does not mind links to dvinfo.net by the way)

That is super nice. Beautiful.

And still there are people saying this camera is shite....

I dont get it. Maybe they're not seeing what I am seeing ? I loved this footage and the latitude was great; the snow had detail !

Great footage, but the HVX doesn't shoot 60p. It does 30p or 24p. Am I missing something?

Yes it does 60P. In 720 it does 12, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 36, 48, and 60 progressive frames per second.

In 1080 mode it does 30P and 24P.

Oops

I was thinking 1080. - Or perhaps not thinking at all.

that's some nice footage. I'm more than impressed and am still confused as to which camera will be my next. The one thing I know is that in the two years I've had my Dvx it hasn't let me down ( except one time but that was my fault) so pani is high up in my books.

This is a nice little short. It's the first one I've seen where the slo-mo is used in a very cool way. Here's to the future!

check your monitor.... it may be slightly off.

Wow, this footage looks excellent. Definately some of the best I've seen. I wish I could get myself into the world of HVX. :( Oh well. Dvx will suffice.

This footage, along with the wolves has convinced me that the HVX200 is the one to get. I was going to go for the JVC HD100 but the well-shot footage I've seen from that pales in comparison to the well shot HVX stuff.

Looks to me that they wanted it to be that way. Notice that they called it "Winter -60p- Reversal day"? I assume they were playing around with the scene files to get that reversal film look. Or something close. I love it myself.

I agree with Booth. When we find someone who knows what they're doing with the HVX200, it looks better than anything I've seen for under $10k.

LOL actually you can do that in Cali, I live here in Long Beach, about 40 minutes up is the Angeles National Forest. The last day of our feature shoot was snowed out.
