C300: Weird interlacing-like artefact issue on movement with C300mkii

Hello,

Shot a project on my (newish to me) C300mkii. Settings were 2K 12bit 25p and 1/50 shutter.

In Premiere whenever there is fast movement, I'm getting a double image as if it's interlacing or the shutter speed is wrong.

Any ideas? It was definitely shot with the correct settings in camera.

TIA!

If you're positive the in-camera settings were correct, maybe Premiere is playing the footage back in some proxy mode?

In FCP when the playback quality is set to the lowest setting, the footage is unrecognizable; all kinds of stuff going on to make it play smoothly (but no one with a modern computer would ever set it that low).

[And making the attached photo bigger would help.]

I've actually just found out this is caused by the in-camera noise reduction. This setting can be turned off under the picture profile menu.

I was shooting at 6400 ISO and did think it was a remarkably noise free image!

Mystery solved it looks like.
