I would think it's probably more beneficial if you regularly miss your white balance and exposure by a large margin
FWIW, I've found that even a solid internal codec is fine in many of these cases.
We did some testing with our work Panasonic S1H's and found that you could totally miss WB and still pull it back to a good image. I'm talking like shooting at 2000 or 10000 Kelvin in a room that's lit with 6000K bulbs or florescent lights. With a color chart and Davinci Resolve the shots looked totally fine.
Exposure is probably a little less forgiving, especially if you've put a bunch of details too far into the shadows or highlights.
